| 9/11/2011 Dear all, I hope you all had a great summer. The Buffalo Chinese School will start this coming Saturday, September 17, 2011. Our staffs are excited to work with all of you and your children for the upcoming school year. Thanks Rufeng Xu again for her great leadership last year for our Chinese school! We will do our best to keep up the good work. As many of you may have heard, from this school year we have to pay for the class room use, due to budget cut in the Williamsville school district. This has caused the significant cost increase to our school and students. We are doing our best to try to find out an alternative way to solve this problem. Of course, any constructive proposals are always welcome. Please understand and keep supporting our school. I would like to introduce our staff members for this year. Feng Gu (谷 丰fgu@buffalo.edu ) As assistant principal, he will work with me together closely. He has lots of experience in teaching at university as a professor. I believe his joining will bring tremendous expertise to our school’s operation. We have already been working together during the summer to prepare for this school year. Xuejun Yu (于 学军yuxe@yahoo.com ) is also a new member of our committee. As assistant principal, he will work with our committee. He did not hesitate at all when we asked him to help us. Thanks for his dedication and commitment to the community of our school. Hui Zhang ( 张晖,khzhang818@hotmail.com) works as an accountant in a real estate company and has been our treasurer since last year. She has been one of our most important staff members. She will be in charge of our financials as well as manage student registration, which requires lots of work. Liping Chen (陈 丽萍,chen605@yahoo.com) has been our web master since last year. If you have any suggestions or would like to post anything on the website, please contact Liping. The website has up-to-date information on the school’s schedule. Please check it for the most up-to –date schedule for all school days, especially during the snowy winter. Chunhao Li ( 李春好,cli9@buffalo.edu) has been our textbook administrator since last year. He and his wife have worked very hard to keep the book supply in order for all classes. If you or your children need new books, please contact Chunhao. It is best to notify him at least one week ahead of time. Meanwhile, Chuming Qiao (乔春明) and Rufeng Xu will be our Board Chairs, and Wan Zhang (张宛) will be our teacher's representative. Their guidance and experience are essential for the success of the Buffalo Chinese School. Please check out our website frequently as this is the most convenient way for us to communicate to you. http://www.buffalochineseschool.org/index.html Our teachers are ready to welcome all returning as well as new students on September 17th. See you soon! 2011-2012 Buffalo Chinese School Principle Meisen Li |
